So, damit die Diskussion für den zweiten Spieltag amal in Gang kommt hier meine Analyse, leider in E aber das macht wohl nichts:
I watched all games there yesterday and this is my impression:
Admira vs Sportklub:
It is hard to assess Sportklubs strength after this game because Admira was simply the poorest team BY FAR yesterday. Neither did they bother to run nor do they show any technical skills at all. It is a combination of being unable and unwilling. (6-3 Sportklub FT)
Red Zac vs Austria:
Aigner was VERY motivated and one of the best players yesterday and he will surely continue to make impression after being pulled out of the Interwetten squad in autumn. In one action, he stunned three Austria defenders with one brilliant trick but missed the goal narrowly. Austria looked a bit unambitious and just did what they had to do to escape without a loss (3-3 FT).
Sportklub vs Mattersburg:
What to say about Mattersburg? Each player is almost one head taller than any opponent, usually not an advantage indoor. And so is their play, apart from a few technical moments it is more or less pure fight at the edge of unfairness. I think if they find a referee who is strictly with the rules, they will have tough times, and could see some 2 minute penalties. Also, referees might "protect" a Bundesliga team more than they did with the regional side Sportklub yesterday.
Austria vs Rapid:
I am a Rapid supporter, ok, but if every team has got a number of "luck angels", than Austria used all of them already yesterday. The only goal was a deflected shot, and afterwards Rapid hit the post no less than three (!) times. Anyway. For me, Austria disappointed one more time, and GK Safar, who was awarded "best player of the day" (ridiculous) is a major factor of unsecureness, as he is the worst GK in terms of football ability (deadly indoor). Every time he gets the ball from a defender is a big chance for the other team.
Rapid reshuffled the lines in the end, partly to have the best players together and partly to try something. Overall, a big gap between the quite poor first line with apart from Hofmann only second choice players and the second line which is much more dangerous. (Austria 1-0 FT)
Todays games:
Mattersburg vs Sportklub:
This is wide open. I would need 2.60 to back either team, and that is not available.
Austria vs Red Zac:
Austria is only narrow favourite for me. Home advantage to Red Zac, as all Rapid fans will cheer them up :-). The boarderline for me is 2.80, Kwette has 2.90, so maybe a very small bet, but nothing special.
Admira vs Mattersburg:
As said before, Admira with a very bad performance yesterday, but I also think that Mattersburg is nothing special. They are simply no indoor team. If Admira continues to show uninterest in the tournament, than Mattersburg will win, if they play what they can, than the game is wide open as they are no worse than Mattersburg.
Rapid vs Red Zac:
Another rather even match. I think that the factors:
--- 2nd game for Red Zac after the game against Austria (which will be hard fought)
--- huge support from the stands for Rapid, of course against the (lesser) support from Austria fans against them
--- even first lines but a bit better better second line from Rapid
might turn things in favour of Rapid. 2.15 from BAW and GB are worth a small (2/10) try.
